Craft for children

Yesterday I had made an Origami cat for Hari. Then we tried to make paper flowers. Really I am trying to reduce the time of TV Viewing. We have to give them other activities to spend that time. I am very poor in craft making, but now i am browsing to study one material for each day. Today's craft is a dove....

This one is very difficult but its so cute...

Its a tough time to spend creative and quality time with children. They like to do new things other than the usual spellings and problems. Origami is a clever item to try out ...Here is a link to make a bunny...try it out

Spending time with your child

Being a good parent we have to spend some time with our tots. My little ones will be very
happy to tell stories, songs and their class details to me. Its a message to them that we
are with you in your problems and your joys. For working parents in nuclear family its a tough task to find enough time to be with their kids.
We can plan time qualitatively. We can read stories, sing songs, do puzzles or play with
them. All these activities are energy boosters and make them more confident. This will make
them more attached to home.
I always prefer to speak about an event, like vacation activities or visit to the beach or visit to the temple. Its a great thing to hear from their view and how they perceived the world around them. Grand parents can do lot of things in this way. I still remember my grand mother telling stories to me with her hand soothing my hair. All these things are expressions of love.

Vacations

Vacations means a head ache to parents and a heaven to children. Every mind needs freedom. Let them play and let them do something they love to do. Some schools are running vacation classes. Working parents have to face a lot of problems during vacation. The freedom of these weeks will rejuvanate them to tackle with the next academic year with a lot of energy.

My lovely children

Sree with his Ammoomma (Malathi Amma). Sree and Hari are lucky to live with their grand mother. She is very nice and have a lot of patience to handle the children.
Sree in an 'Elephant ride'. Sree is really an elephant lover, moreover he is very craze about the
elephants. There will be one or two files with the photos and news collections on the top of my table. He will always fetch these pictures. He will become thrilled when he saw elephants in Animal Planet. His grand father who is an adamant elephant lover wrote a book on elephants. Sree govind

Sree in his traditional dress

It is very hard to manage a web site in between the tasks of managing the children, cooking, cleaning, washing and everything. But we can not change the situations. I am writing these words from my own experience. For the last few years I had procrastinated my career for the house hold chores. But now my second child is only 2 years old and his grand mother is not healthy enough to manage him alone. Finally my mind reached a conclusion that to do something to earn, something to remember, something that polishes your knowledge, something that will not hurt anyone, something you enjoy to do. Now I am doing some internet based activities without disturbing anyone. Some tips from my experience..

  1. Don't expect that the situations will change overnight

  2. Try your maximum to Convince your child about your work

  3. Share everything with your husband

  4. Fix some hours to work and also spend some time with the child

  5. Don't try to make your home clean and beautiful as in cinema or in serials

  6. Mind plays the keyrole in every thing so place it in the creative mood

  7. Just keep some time to pray

  8. Try to wake up early morning and finish the cooking

  9. Don't try to make every thing 100%

  10. Appreciate yourself for doing such wonderful things

In between all these tips sometimes I will shout to my children. It is also a safety valve of the mind.
